Shove Insurance Inc. is one of Rhode Island’s oldest businesses. It was founded in 1859 by Judge Isaac Shove, a respected businessman who recognized the importance of insurance. From a small office on Main Street in Pawtucket, Judge Shove spent his entire life serving his customers and left a legacy of expert service and customer satisfaction. It is no wonder that two families, first George Parker Sr. (1910-1937) and George Parker Jr. (1937-1980), and later William Hunt Sr. (1980-2021) and William Hunt Jr. (2022-present), proudly kept the founder’s name for their insurance agency.
